1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Bunlead (“Bunlead,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles personal data when you visit bunlead.com, use the Bunlead application, browser extension, API, or related services, contact us, or purchase a plan (together, the “Service”).
We decide how and why to process data for our own accounts, website, billing, security, and business operations. When a customer uses Bunlead to manage its own contacts or connected data, that customer may be responsible for its own privacy obligations. A payment provider or merchant of record may separately handle information needed for checkout, tax, fraud prevention, invoicing, and refunds under its own privacy notice.
2. Personal data we collect
Account and contact details
Name, work email, organization, role, account credentials, workspace details, preferences, and information you send when you contact support or request a demo.
Business and prospect data
Professional contact and company information used for lead search, enrichment, signals, and related features, such as names, job titles, employers, work email addresses, professional phone numbers, company details, and publicly available business activity. This may come from users, connected services, public sources, and licensed data providers.
Customer content
Searches, lists, uploaded records, saved contacts, exports, integration settings, API requests, and other content that you or your organization submit to or generate through the Service.
Billing and transaction details
Plan, credit balance and usage, customer and transaction identifiers, billing contact details, payment status, and limited payment method details provided by a payment provider. Payment-card details are collected by the checkout provider; we do not need your full card number or security code to provide the Service.
Device and usage information
IP address, browser and device type, pages and features used, timestamps, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, errors, and security or diagnostic logs.
3. Where data comes from
We receive data from you and other authorized users, automatically when you use the Service, from integrations you connect, from payment and service providers, and from public or licensed business-data sources. We may combine these sources to keep professional records useful and current.
4. How we use personal data
- Provide accounts, search, contact data, enrichment, signals, API access, exports, and support.
- Process customer instructions and maintain workspaces, permissions, credits, and subscriptions.
- Confirm purchases and coordinate billing, cancellations, and refunds with payment providers.
- Verify professional information and improve data quality and product performance.
- Protect the Service, prevent fraud or misuse, and diagnose errors.
- Send service notices and, where permitted, product or marketing communications.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and the rights of others.
5. Legal bases where applicable
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service and maintaining professional business data, legal obligations, and consent where required. We consider the impact on individuals before relying on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent where processing depends on it.
7. Checkout and payment providers
When you buy a plan, the provider identified at checkout may collect payment, identity, device, tax, and transaction information. It may issue receipts, manage subscriptions, prevent fraud, and handle payment support or refunds. We receive the information needed to activate your plan, provide support, and reconcile the transaction. The provider’s privacy notice also applies to its processing.
See our Terms of Service for purchase, cancellation, and refund information.
9. International transfers
We and our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where applicable law requires a transfer safeguard, we use a recognized mechanism such as an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, or another lawful measure.
10. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business, security, accounting, legal, and dispute-resolution purposes. The period depends on the type of data, how it is used, customer instructions, and applicable law. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymized, subject to backup cycles and legal holds.
11. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect data, including access controls and security monitoring. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly.
12. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may be able to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; opt out of certain uses; or appeal a denied request. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority. We may verify your identity before responding.
Send requests, including requests concerning a professional record in Bunlead’s database, to support@bunlead.com. If we process information only on behalf of a customer organization, we may direct your request to that organization. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message; account and security messages may still be sent.
13. Children
The Service is intended for business users aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data through the Service.
14. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our Service or practices change. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and give additional notice where required. For privacy questions or requests, email support@bunlead.com.
